Drawing out and aggregating the musings, expressions, rants, drawings, textual weavings, and otherwise passionate craftings of and between four not-ficticious, not-so-little women.
And their momma.

Where in the world did Beth Go?
Beth, please tell Louisa about your travells, the weirdos you meet and the people who think you are sneaky acting..or suspicious..
Tell Louisa about where you have been getting your groove on, and happenin thrift stores that you find all over the world.
Yeah, that momma, she had a lot of fun in the snow, trapsing around. That was almost a year ago!
I haven't been doing any thrift store shopping since getting out of that van, because it's been a struggle coming to terms with how much stuff i really have. The last ones I hit in Montana somewhere gave me a few lovely headdresses, that I still have with me now.
Right now, we're in Auckland. Our hotel is this skinny, very tall building, with tiny, tiny rooms. From our little balcony made for 1, we can see out to the harbor and lots of tall buildings. It's Diwali now (an indian holiday), and people are setting off firecrackers and partying a lot. Actually, I think they party a lot any night. We're on the top floor of the hotel, the 18th floor, and can hear people all night long from that high up.
I want to write more on our travel blog, but it's a bit of a task, because I always want to use pictures and stuff, but am generally on library computers where I don't have those things available, and am up against a time limit. This is actually the second time I've written a response to here - got logged off mid-sentence the last time.
Auckland is ok, but I wish we were in another NZ town. The problem is that the majority of the population in NZ live in or around Auckland, so we're banking on there being the most opportunity here, and trying to give ourselves enough time to make sure nothing will come our way before moving on to greener pastures. The city is way expensive (like $9 for soup, $4 for coffee) everywhere, including the grocery, but we are just trying to be frugal and make the best of it. I guess I wouldn't be so stressed if the cost of living wasn't so much, but Auckland is the most expensive place here, and I know it will be better as we go south. We have to wait for a meeting with immigration and the work center that has our resumes first, but after that, who knows where we'll be headed! We have lots of luggage: a huge backpack each, plus another big piece of luggage for each of us (mine rolls, thank god). We're a bit ashamed of not being true backpackers, but three months sounded like a long time, although it's feeling too short now that we're here.
Anyhoo, you'd all really love it here, and I'll keep on updating as we move forth!

And it's really 1:24pm on Sunday here, though the time on blogspot shows 8pm-ish.
