such a sad topic. it's true .Cancer starts with C. BUt c'mon.
cancer is super scarry. cancer is something we can never really control. Never really understand. C is for caring. Caring about our sister who has cancer.
C is for her curly hair.
C is for cute. cutie. cutie dogs like roo and bruce.
C is for Christine. Jolies middle name. Named after Grandma Christine, who I guess got her name passed down from someone in our family. If Jolies first name was Christine...how weird would that be?

Maybe we're all past the point of ranting about cancer. All the why-hers and why-nows and what-can-be-dones. I just like to have an outlet, in case a unique thought comes along.

But fuck you, cancer, while I'm here. Let us keep our sister.

Cancer is like a huge medieval war.
It's a huge front, with some cities falling easily to faceless, blood thirsty attakers who, fed by their power, continue on with even wilder eyes to topple random villages in their wake. Other cities fight stubbornly and emerge tattered yet victorious, only to buckle to surprise enemy forces. Still others keep vigilent night watch and stay safe within their walls.

The warriors come from aristocracy, from gaudily cavernous rooms where sweepingly cold decisions are made to forward interests without thought for the losses. The victims are earnest and simple and unexpecting of hatred, fed on coarse bread and soups and dance. Everything is subject to being ravaged. Hopes of new and better tomorrows hang heavy. All are vulnerable. Anything can happen. The war continues.
